Canberra International tennis ready to run
ATP Challenger 125 and WTA 125 events kickoff today in Canberra as part of the Australian Summer of Tennis.
The Canberra Tennis Centre recently had the courts resurfaced and the facilities have been upgraded for the 2025 event.
Players this time have a dedicated Players Lounge and Players Dining area and for the spectators there are more food offerings and places to comfortably enjoy some food in-between tennis viewing.
The centre court is setup the same as in previous years but now there is additional shaded seating at some of the other courts.
Both champions from 2024 are back to defend their titles. Dominick Koepfer in the men’s and Nuria Parrizas Diaz in the women’s.
Parrizas Diaz is currently ranked at no. 91, with Koepfer at no. 102.
Top seed for the men’s event is Hugo Gaston from France.
