Mayot defeated Dominik Koepfer 6-4, 6-4, the no. 7 seed and world no. 102.

Koepfer was ranked at no. 77 a year ago and did climb to no. 49 in March 2024 before slipping down the ranking later in the year.

Koepfer was broken in the opening game of the match after giving away a break point with a forehand hit well over the baseline. A repeat of that shot saw Mayot take the first break.
