Australia’s Maddison Inglis has moved into the fourth round of the Australian Open.

It didn’t come as expected. Naomi Osaka withdrew from her match that was scheduled for Rod Laver Arena, due to an abdominal strain.
Inglis will now play world no. 2 Iga Swiatek in the fourth round.
The last Australian to play Swiatek was the top-ranked Australian female, Maya Joint. She was swept aside 6-1, 6-1 at the United Cup.
It would be a huge upset if Inglis can get past Swiatek, but you never know.
For reaching the fourth round, Inglis has earned 240 rankings points and $480,000.
If you look back at Inglis’ first round qualifying match she had to save two match points just to stay alive in the tournament. Now look what she has achieved.
