Australia’s Alex de Minaur celebrated his 25th brithday in style as he got revenge on Grigor Dmitrov after a year ago the Bulgarian ruined the Australians birthday.

After gaining revenge on his Australian Open conquerer, de Minaur has backed up his quarterfinal win over Andrey Rublev with his victory over Dimitrov.
It was a lot more comfortable than the previous match as de Minaur sealed a 6-4, 6-3 victory to bood a final against Jannik Sinner.
“I’m extremely happy with the level throughout the whole match,” said De Minaur in his post-match interview. “It was probably one of the better matches I’ve played from start to finish. Even saying that, I always know that Grigor is going to lift his level and compete until the end, and I had to fight off some pretty tough break points, when I came up with some of my best tennis.”
de Minaur has found a new level in 2024 and has notched an impressive four Top 10 victories in the current year.
Next up will be the ultimate test against the red-hot Sinner.
Sinner of course comes into the final as the newly crowned Australian Open champion.
