World no. 1 Ash Barty has come back from a set down to defeat world no. 2 Karolina Pliskova and advance to the final where she will face the defending champion Elina Svitolina.
The score was 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 with the match lasting 1 hour and 53 minutes.
Pliskova had eight break point opportunities in the first set and claimed one to give her the early advantage.
After dropping the first set the Australian had a chat with her coach and made some adjustments to her game. They paid off as she broke her Czech opponent twice in the second set.
It was Barty again that got the first break in the deciding set and that was enough to see her complete the win to advance to the final for the first time.
Barty hit 11 Aces and 36 winners to 23 for Pliskova. The unforced errors were 26 from Barty and 30 from Pliskova.
It was Barty’s movement around the court that helped her get the win.
