John Millman and Alex de Minaur both won their singles rubbers to give Australia a perfect 2-0 start against the team from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Millman opened proceedings against the top player from the opposition, world no. 52 Damir Dzumhur.
It was the Australian that got the early break, only to concede in the next game. Dzumhur was a bit lost in the way he structured his points and would blast away or go to the net with a poorly played shot.
The second set was much the same, an early break, then conceded but Millman grinded away and registered his first Davis Cup win, taking the match 6-3, 6-2.
World no. 28 Alex de Minaur against world no. 99 Mirza Basic. Early in the match, de Minaur struggled against the power hitting of Basic however he was able to get enough balls back to pressure his opponent. de Minaur took control of the set after making a run from 3-3 to win 6-3.

In the second set de Minaur broke for 3-2 only to get broken in the next game. The set then went to a tiebreaker that de Minaur would win without conceding a single point. Basic received treatment for an injury during the match so it will be interesting to see how he is for tomorrow’s matches.
