Since all the action at Wimbledon in London, some of the players having been taking a well deserved break from the court. Here’s what a few of them have been up to.

Sloane Stephen was awarded Best Female Tennis Player of the Year at the 26th annual Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly (ESPY) awards. At the end of July 2017, she was ranked 957th following an 11 month injury absence. Last week she hit a career-high ranking of no. 3.
Karolina Pliskova married her fiancee Michal Hrdlicka in their hometown of Monte Carlo on Thursday the 19th of July. She will now take a couple weeks off and is expected to return to the tour for the Rogers Cup in Montreal, taking place from the 6th to the 12th of August.
Daria Gavrilova visited her birthplace of Moscow, Russia for a few days, where she spent some time with her parents and her family dog, Lina the Beagle, who has her own instagram account @linabeagle. She then returned to her home in Melbourne for a few weeks of training in order to prepare for the US hardcourt season. The 24 year old also recently became a house owner, sharing an instragram post to reveal the exciting news.

Following the Wimbledon Ball, the ladies champion, Angelique Kerber flew to Germany before returning to her hometown. In Stuttgart, Germany, Kerber visited the Porsche Museum to celebrate her Wimbledon success. She posed holding her winners trophy with many of the cars and did a press conference for the German media. A few days later Kerber returned to Puszczykowo, Poland, where her grandparents live, and she herself has lived since 2012. She visited her tennis academy in the town, where she was welcomed with a cream cake.
Rafael Nadal as gone to his homeland of Spain for a brief holiday. He enjoyed some time at the beach in Madrid. Maria Sharapova has been exploring many places throughout Italy, including Capri.
The gentlemen’s runner-up, Kevin Anderson went to Scotland for the first time, and attended The British Open, a professional golf tournament.
